Here are some ideas for creating unique quotes and hand embroidered characters!

I don't use quotes and phrases as I often do, but there are some general tips that you can use for this * gesture *.

Handwriting

Handwriting can be neat, sometimes bright, and sometimes strong and urgent. In either case, however, you will probably need to draw a thin line and be flexible enough to bend your point sharply.

Here I used a single reverse sewing thread on the needle. This point is flexible enough to work with curves and lines. In the photo above I used cotton as a guarantee and woven it very tightly so that the stitches stand out from each other. But if you use soft fabrics like linen, the same stitches will be easier to make and each stitch will be harder to separate.

Alternatively, you can fold the back stitch as shown in the picture above. This will hide the individual points and the point will not split completely.

If you've chosen a string point to work with your characters, make sure you've seen these tips to improve your string point . Includes edges, angles and tips for perfect connection of two lines :)

The quotation marks and sentences in this template can be done as shown in the figure above. I used two threads, sewed the back of the scheme and then wrapped it with a satin stitch; He has created a volume. If you want more volume, try kilting . However, this copy design is available as a gift !

Also, here's a monogram I worked on at Satin Stitch two years ago. I only used one thread here, so it wasn't the right size, but luckily it fit snugly under the glass of the frame haha. It was a gift for my mom :)

Calligraphy

This style of writing usually combines bold and cool characters. However, it is dangerous to work on these components separately in different ways (for example, the opposite point of thin lines and the point for glossy thick parts) and it does not guarantee a good result ... they will be difficult to achieve.

However, there are other good options as well!

Hereleg points are used for fine lines and filling. With this point you can first work on the outline of the letters and then fill in the dark dots with parallel lines. These quotes are available as a PDF tutorial in my Etsy Store .

Another way to fill in the dark part is to use a long dot and a short dot . Actually, I don't have an example message that would work like this, but it's close to what the example above would look like. Read the manual carefully for this technique and you can also use the stem point for fine line.

I mentioned the options for thin single-thread knitting. However, this can be done with a calligraphy line, and this option is very popular today. Sew the letters upside down with two or more threads and fill in the dark parts with parallel lines.

Finally, for points written with letters like I , you can use a flying dot, for a French knot and token .

We hope this adds some inspiration to your next project! If you have any additional ideas, please leave them in the comments below! :)
