Reverse chain stitch: seamless squares and circles
Here are two ways :)
I already shared 6 tips in the article to improve chain stitching, but I did it for regular chain stitching, it has its own characteristics. However, you'd be surprised that the solutions are basically the same if the sequence of operations weren't a little different.
So let's go deeper.
If you do not remember how the reverse chain point works , you can refresh your memory in this article .
We did the opposite point here, we crossed the corner. What are we going to do now to make it crisp and clean?
The easiest way is to continue sewing in the same way, that is, insert the needle under the old stitching.
However, this will leave you with an incomplete corner. Although the series continues uninterrupted.
Therefore, in such cases, I prefer to install the outer "wing" of the chain with a small notch.
Makes the edge more visible.
But then we have another problem. We've filled in the last difference, now the point where we started շատ we finished with the square is very important.
So what we can do now is start from the beginning and put the needle under the last needle.
Then sew the outside of the loop knot with a small point.
The angles are sharp, and the direction of the chain stretch is naturally reversed. In my case, the small dots are noticeable, when I see them now, I think I should have adapted better. It's just a sketch, but you can be more careful with your work than I am now :)
Now, like tires, the seamless connections are the same here.
Start sewing at the beginning մտ Insert the needle under the edge.
Here we do not need an acute angle, so we do not need additional anchors.
So here are some new tricks to use. Enjoy chain stitching. :)
