What to do when your fabric is puckering
Based on real events. :)
How often have your tissues collapsed, collapsed, or caused your pain?
In fact, it is very common among both beginners and experienced tailors. The difference is that experienced weavers often know a) how to get rid of it, b) how to fix it if it happens.
I recently received a message asking for help in this matter. Using my advice, Joan was able to solve this problem.
Realizing that many newcomers were sewing and pulling fabrics, I asked her permission to share the story, and she gladly agreed. :)
" The material is 100% linen. When I decorated the garlands inside, the ring (about 7) appeared in the middle of the design. I left Hop for a few months. As soon as it was sewn, I pulled out the candlesticks (including the names in the middle) hoping that the middle cloth would come back. I just left it to dry without stretching. Finish, wet it again and put it on a glass to dry, I tied it with glass a second time, no need to stretch.
Thanks again, I do not think everything will be fine without your help. I look forward to starting this project.
Joan "
Joan, I am so happy that the dust problem is solved, the end result is beautiful. :)
Let us now look at some of the ways in which that is possible.
In fact, you can anticipate the stages of history.
To avoid wrinkles, 1) Drain the cloth (or soak it in warm water, foam it with a washcloth, wipe off some spores, for example, or use a spray bottle) և 2) Pull. He is careful.
There are many ways to get it out. If you have one, you can attach it to a cork board. I use ordinary wooden picture frames from a dollar store and a piece of newspaper. Joanna adjusted her work to the mirror.
As you can see, there are many options. But the main thing is to spread it well until it is reduced. And it is best to do this when the fabric is wet, so it "remembers" the stretch and does not roll again after it is weakened.
I have photos from 2016 where you can see how I paint my work on photo frames.
Finally, here are some tips to avoid wrinkles .
First of all, always remove your seam from the ring as soon as you have finished sewing during the day.
Second, do not overdo it by inserting the fabric into the seam ring. It is well known that the fabric in a ring or embroidery ring should be stretched like a drum, but do not pull , as this will cause it to shrink.
If you do not want to worry about the material being too tight or too tight, use this method in the Collection tab . This works great for making your fabric evenly spaced.
dead end. If you have ever had such a problem, share your story in the comments. Let's collect all the tips :)
