Detached Buttonhole variations
Let's learn to sew a little :)
The art of sewing needles is one of the most interesting for me. Intricate patterns made of these (usually) fine threads look so crisp and elegant at the same time. I have great respect for the masters of this craft. It takes a lot of patience and perseverance to design and create the masterpieces they create.
As for me, unfortunately, I have not delved into this art. I'm just used to both options; I still have problems with one of them (you can see it in the picture below, yes).
Related materials.
However, I felt the need to share this short tutorial, even if it is not perfect, so that those of you who are particularly interested in this craft can apply it և I am sure they are much better than I am.
Independently connected pushbutton
This is the one I have a problem with.
It's not too complicated in the steps you need to follow to make it work. Personally, the most difficult thing for me is to keep the tension of the yarn և ring constant. You can adjust the knot so that it rises or falls slightly, depending on your preferences, by increasing or decreasing the size of the knot. փոփոխ Adjust the size and shape of the bow between the rings as needed.
Okay, first let me show my efforts :)
The first step is the same as in the case of a loose base button. Slide the needle under your edge vertically in the direction և pass the working end of the thread under the end of the needle.
As you pull the cord, a loop begins to form. At this point, slide the needle with the ring on the working edge of the thread.
Start pulling the thread lightly, paying attention to the knot horse. At this point you can usually adjust the position of the tops, slightly higher or lower. You will determine the size of the rings, the depth between the rings or the depth of the bow.
Your node should look like this:
For the second row, you can repeat the steps in the same way, only reflecting the direction from which you slide the needle with the needle.
Or you can start the second row in the same direction as the first row (in my case from left to right).
This will affect the appearance of the wires (the direction in which the knot will "drop" will be the same), but it eats some types of wire. to do this, though it may seem more neat… good…
Anyway, at least I did not go down without explaining myself first. Let me stress that this is "my version" because it seems awkward because of my struggle, but if you train more, it will definitely be much better.
In fact, I really like the potential of this side, so I hope to one day surpass it.
Independent double rotary knob
This is much easier: looks great.
Basically, all you have to do is work the holes in the main buttons, which stand on their own, BUT inserting the rings in a special way. Put the 2 rings next to each other (if you use a back stitch or chain stitch for the line, then put 2 rings under one stitch, then make a small space, then bring the 2 rings closer to each other.
See how beautiful it is. And it's so fast that you do not start to get frustrated with the tedious process. (I tasted it in the above version).
I have now brought you 2 options, but the world of sewing is much richer, there are many techniques, many of which use separate button stitches.
There is a Theresa De Dilmont vintage embroidery encyclopedia for online reading. You can find them in this list under number 18. If you do not like reading them from the archives, you can visit this site , where books with all the pictures are printed. It is in this chapter of the art of sewing that I want to draw your attention. The drawings of each technique are very revealing, so feel free to play with the needle և thread և, who knows, you may discover a new talent or passion. :)
