Embroidering on faux suede

Embroidering on faux suede

Now I'm on the cover of an embroidery notebook/magazine (I don't know what to call it yet) and decided to experiment a bit and use faux suede for it :)

Of course, since this is a book about embroidery, it goes without saying that there must be a certain embroidery on the cover.

Embroidery quote

I decided to use one last quote that inspired me so much: "Sow where you sow." It was also used in one of my previous posts, the meaning of which we discussed in more detail.

He definitely talked to me a lot during that time. But he went so far as to combine different themes from my embroidery drawings. The idea of growth, patience, and perseverance was very important to me when I thought about what I wanted to sew and what I wanted to try for this magazine (I wonder if you saw it in the pages I showed you earlier ?). So far all points are closed :)

I usedthis method to mark knots and squares within the back seam of the French citation.

By the way, I'm still able to fix something on the surface because I'm not 100% satisfied, but also to undo everything again and start lazily again :D Ea. In fact, this is my first book of this kind, so the desire to see the end result sooner is stronger than the desire to make everything perfect, haha.

Here the tree is sewn with a stitch of stitch and a lazy chamomile from two cotton threads to match the color of the fabric.

I thought it would be fun but now I'm not sure lol.

In fact, it ended up when I painted it and looked better but I'm still not sure about the color. I say again, translating everything is not on my to-do list, but maybe there is a way to make it stand out, e...

And in this corner you can see that I sewed trial seams with unusual fibers. I wonder what you guessed?

Embroidering on faux suede

These are the fibers that make up this faux suede. All I know is polyester. It is so powerful that I tried to break it and failed. Embroidery is a pleasure to work with. Actually, I was going to use these fibers for the wood first, but then my hand automatically reached the cotton thread, and my brain moved forward without thinking.

Either way, the fabric is great for hand embroidery!

It's sturdy, doesn't stretch, sews easily, sturdy and smooth, has no eyelets, so I doubt it handles tight seams, as well as long and short seams.

The only thing I'm not sure about is the folds in the rims and tires. In my case, I'm using a Q-snap frame, and the curls aren't as strong. And if so, the frame is larger than the estimated cap size, so you can still trim them.

But as for the episode... I'm not sure, I'm not sure. Even when closed , this cloth will "remember" to fold and make ironing more difficult.

He said if you've ever thought about embroidering fake suede, go ahead! it is fun :)
