March Round-Up

March Round-Up

Here's a look at what happened in March on the Stitch Floral blog, as well as a look at what's planned for April.

How was your career?

I was sick for half a month, which inevitably lowered my productivity. And when I thought I'd recovered, I got sick again, ha ha ha. I'm usually pretty strong - it doesn't affect me in the winter, but this time the flu was strong.

round:

The good news is that I can still finish the new design. The Jewel series , which got a preview of it in early March. Have you seen Amber 's design (I have more photos on Instagram), she showed you an eraser that lets you guess what the second flower looks like. Now you can see the end result in the title image.

Honestly, this flower has not been sewn for a whole month, I swear. I've literally been collecting stems և flowers for 2-3 nights, though, so I've been photographing every step of the way.

This is the cycle that has been going on for so long և just because of some other problem with the flu. In fact, it is very tedious to work with such a dense seed seam . The end result is worth it if you ask me.

It took me about 2 nights for each aspect of the shot, which means 8 nights for the entire shoot. So, you see, a week and a half is the perfect time to complete the task. It might be less if you spend more time each day sewing or not photographing the process.

However, you can save some time - stitching the seed without making it as difficult as here. But it is similar to the design of amber . It looks just as beautiful - it takes twice as long.

However, the question is. Can you guess which gem inspired this design? The yellow flowers are inspired by amber. What about the color pink? Hmmm... I wonder what you think.

Both designers will be released soon, wait for them.

In March we also learned some new technologies. The difference between basic phrasing and phrasing should be subtle . I really like this technique, and I hope embroiderers use it more often. The web is especially interesting because you can create many different patterns by changing some of the elements - the colors. Unlimited source of happiness for any stapler :)

Find all sewing lessons in the Stitch library .

We've hone our needlepoint skills using the needlepoint tips in Part 8 . This is a very important point for all those who want to learn how to sew long and short seams, as often the wrong side of the seam can be used to clean the surface of long and short seams.

With experience, you will intuitively know where to insert the needle when working with long or short stitches. And while you're still packing your workout bag, remember the tips in the post to make things easier :)

And speaking of inexperience, here are 10 hand embroidery tips for beginners . Most of the advice in this article is more about attitude techniques for learning this new profession. However, some points are quite real.

April plan

The beginning of a new design is approaching. The hashtag will work great here soon when it's released, you can expect more details և Clarifications here :)

Let's learn some new things, shall we? I mean separate link. Another technique that I particularly like that I want to explore here at Stitch Floral.

The rest remains a mystery. As usual, I have enough ideas, but let's see what happens in the final version, yes.

In fact, I can travel quite a bit this month, so if I don't respond quickly to your comments or emails, I hope you'll understand. Some posts will probably go live automatically, so if you see a new post but don't get a response, don't be disappointed :)

I wish you a happy battle and a happy April.
