The Crafties Awards 2019, I'm nominated! #whyimake

#whyimake

Interesting news has arrived recently.

I was thrilled in my heart when I found out there was an award for craft bloggers. It's not even a question of competition or price. I guess most of us creatives don't really care, but it's a great opportunity for crafters to connect, enjoy, and learn from each other. What a great way to prank people! I really hope this becomes a tradition.

It was the sweetest surprise to learn that she was in fact nominated in one of the nominations.

Some of the nominees on the list are bloggers I look up to, who inspired me to be a part of it... Well, it's wrong to say "dreams are real" because I never dreamed of them . , yes yes, but it really is a great honor, something I will cherish for a long time :)

Thank you Love Crafts for this opportunity.

I encourage you to vote for your favorite blogger. Believe me, your support means a lot to each of us. And see artisans you've never heard of :)

To learn more and vote , visit the Crafties Blogger Awards 2019 page .

I also decided to take the opportunity to share my story as a craft blogger for anyone interested, so here it is :)

#Why WEST?

Why do I sew... why do I sew?

Why is it so difficult to answer such a simple question? I'm really confused trying to find an explanation for my desire to "create".

...but in my second head after I stopped looking for a right answer, I thought of it with a clear smile...honestly...the answer is very clear.

I do it because something overwhelms me trying to express itself materially. He was trying to find eggs, colors, textures. To see and feel physically, rather than staying in my head like a vague image.

There has never been a time in my life when I sat down at a desk, pulled out a pencil and some paper, made a pros and cons list and decided that sewing would be the profession I was most comfortable with. There was never a rational reason for it. If I was choosing a hobby, I might prefer embroidery to ribbon because it's easier, faster, and more popular where I live.

My embroidery is more like a passion born from a little spark when I try a few stitches that I can't stop.

My journey has had ups and downs. There were even times when I had a sort of barrier to embroidery, I was afraid to hold the needle in my hand. But in the end the desire to sew won out, a little encouragement from one of the readers was enough to get me back on track. If you're reading this, thank you again, Doris :)

The most beautiful thing about embroidery is how it transforms the plain surface of the fabric into my fabric. My embroidery reflects my feelings, my emotions, my interests and my preferences. It's amazing how you can take something that's inside of you and stitch it together during the day.

His work is very interesting, I think it can easily be called one of the wonders of this world.

As for my style... I still find it hard to say that I have a certain idea in my head and in my heart.

If you look at my creations , you can see that I have two big trends: Flowers: Geometry. I wouldn't be lying if I said I did it all myself. I was actually really impressed with the line drawings of the tattoos I found on Pinterest. I don't know what this style means to other artists, but myself the combination of these two subjects - geometry - flowers - makes me nervous as a believer.

I'm a Muslim, I believe in God, I admire all of his creation, which is a combination of two things (well, in my humble mind). You may have heard of the golden ratio, the ratio that rules everything in this world. I express this in the geometric section of my art. Order, precision, proportion . Flowers, on the other hand, express the beauty of chaos and imperfection ... They are neither large nor proportionate, they are not built to order, they are not bound by any rules. They bloom right under my pen or pencil :)

To be honest, only 10% of all my ideas and images come to mind. Others remain in my notebooks as very simple doodles or even descriptions of formatted images. But yeah... usually at least I have to write, otherwise I get a headache, huh.

This blog is where I started as support for those who want to sew my designs. For example, in my PDF pattern, I can't give a lot of detail in the seam description. At the same time, such a place allows me to write entire essays on the subject. In addition to my regular sewing classes , I have emergency knot and tack sewing classes . It also allows me to share some of my tips , tricks , guides and thoughts .

I think a lot of us feel the need to express ourselves in any way...Sometimes calming the mind is very important to pleasing the soul. Therefore, there should be enough free practice to master at least the basics.

I started embroidering with free resources, it only makes sense to give back to this community and help others in the same spirit. I do my best to help all beginners in their first steps: I'm always happy if you send me your questions. It means that you trust me, so in those moments I am filled with gratitude :)

Hope this enlightens me as a creative blogger. Your story surprised me. It would be great if you could share in the comments.
